It is easy to let life happen as we get caught up in the rush of things. Because of the disconcerting inconsistency of life, most people prefer living their life by the motto of ‘eat, rinse, repeat.’ While there is nothing wrong with the idea of a firm schedule where everything is organized to a T, it is essential to give ourselves a timeout when we can relax and simply enjoy the little joys of life. To set things right, we must begin by intentionally evaluating our best and worst-self without projecting a thought of judgment. We should be able to assess when and where we went wrong and what we did to let ourselves down repeatedly. It is equally important to remember our self-worth and to stand up for ourselves at all times. A check-in to oneself from time-to- time also ensures that we are not only productive in the physical functional sense, but also socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
